Please be aware of recent incidents around Asda and Morrisons on Edgware Road involving a group of suspects targeting people at cash machines.

🚨 What’s happening: A group is using distraction techniques while individuals are withdrawing cash – particularly targeting elderly victims. This can include:

Trying to start conversations

Offering “help” at the ATM

Dropping items or creating confusion

Watching PIN entries

💡 How to stay safe:

Never accept help from strangers at an ATM

Always cover your PIN when entering it

Be aware of anyone standing too close

If something feels off, cancel the transaction and walk away

Use ATMs inside banks or busy, well-lit areas where possible

Check your bank statements regularly
